I promised my friend, Leslie I would post pics of my December "Chick Flick" yarn kit so here it is..................I also include all the goodies Jana sent with my Love Actually yarn, the beautiful Santa box (the inside has the same Santa) , a nutcraker ornament, some tea, a candy cane, Honey House's Bee Bar Lotion and yummy Peppermint lip butter, and a red crystal stitch ornament. The photo really does not do the yarn justice as the colors are so much more vibrant in real life. I also signed up for the upcoming TV Yarn Sock Club, "Romantic Comedies". Jana will be offering 2 variegated and a semi-solid yarn for this series, I can't wait to see what she has in stored for us.

My Woolgirl order also arrived today, from left, 2 more skeins of The Unique Sheep's (formerly Liisu Yarns) Spruce Sprig's colorway, a Dashing Dachs yarn in Twilight Carousel, Hazel Knit's Chocolatier and Weekend Warrior. Jen also incuded the cutest knitted orange mitten ornament which came filled with chocolate candies, and more Charlie Brown hot cocoa. Where does she find such treasures?

I had read about Hazel Knits on another blog and was very excited to hear that Woolgirl was carrying them. These 2 colorways were what peaked my interest and they are truly a work of art. The Chocolatier colorway's name says it all, hubby will be getting these. As for the Weekend Warrior colorway, it has various shades of green flecked with rich chocolate brown and plum. The tightly twisted texture promises to be a joy to work with.

I see Christmas Trees.

Christmas came early as my December Woolgirl sock club kit was waiting for me when I got home. The "Spruce Sprigs" colorway by Liisu yarns is to die for........ I can't wait to see what they come up with for the "7 Deadly Spins" Club in the spring. Jen from Woolgirl is planning a new sock club for 2008 and from the description it will be fun as always. I made sure I was on the list for that too.

I also received my "Chick Flick" sock club kit from White Oak Studio earlier this week and Jana outdid herself, the "Love Actually" colorway is so beautiful. The colors really does remind me of a string of Christmas lights. She is truly amazing. I was lucky to snag a few skeins of her Christmas sock yarn from Woolgirl last month as they sell like hotcakes. She is one of my favorite Indie dyers.

I am finishing a "Ruffles" scarf by Amanda Blair Brown from "Scarf Style" for my daughter for her birthday next week, it is to go with a pair of legwarmers she has been asking for, both out of Lorna's Laces shephered worsted in "Sherbert" colorway. I had no idea legwarmers were having a revival amongst the 9 years old crowd.
